The line of a pen is the beginning, the end, a definitive point,

and a shattered gateway. The way just a line can be manipulated,

from thick straight decisiveness, to uncertain curves and arches.

All of this is a magnified puzzle of scribbles and scratches. Then,

when I step back, I have a map of an image, a person,

that didn't exist before.
